Legionella training
The UK’s primary safety regulators, the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) and the Care Quality Commission (CQC) expect people with responsibility for the management of health and safety in the workplace to be properly trained to a level that allows them to perform their duties safely and effectively. The COSHH regulations identify legionella bacteria (and other microbial pathogens) as hazardous to health and so require suitable and appropriate levels of training to be maintained in all organisations.
Churchill Environmental Services is a fully registered member of the Legionella Control Association. We provide legionella training services to help you meet the regulatory requirements.
We offer a range of courses, online or in classroom settings around the UK, to support delegates with different kinds of job roles. If necessary, we will design courses to the bespoke needs of a business.
Legionella for responsible persons
This two-day, classroom-based course is ideal for the “responsible person” or “duty holder” and their nominated deputies and will ensure that they have the capability and skills for the confident management of legionella and water hygiene issues.
This course is appropriate for employers, self- employed people and anyone else in control of a premises, such as landlords and letting agents.
Delegates will come away with an understanding of the affects legionella bacteria have on the body and the impact that an outbreak of Legionnaires’ disease would have on your business. The course covers how to identify and control the risks associated with legionella bacteria and how legislation and codes of practice can support its control.
The course is fully accredited, delivered by an approved trainer and provides CPD points.
