Churchill has secured a ten-year cleaning contract with Strathclyde Partnership for Transport(SPT) in Glasgow and its surrounding areas.
SPT is the largest of Scotland’s seven regional transport partnerships. It operates the Glasgow Subway as well as specialist bus services and is responsible for delivering better public transport for all.
Under the contract, Churchill is responsible for providing extensive cleaning services which include the interior and exterior of all subway trains, 15 subway stations, six bus stations/interchanges, the offices and engineering depot.
Churchill has held the current contract with SPT since April 2014 and over the past five years, the team has demonstrated its ability to deliver high standards and innovative practices in a challenging environment that sees extremely busy peaks in activity as well as a variety of weather conditions that need to be managed.
Louisa Clarke, Churchill’s Operations Director for North East and Scotland, comments: “We are thrilled to have secured such a significant contract with SPT. It is testament to the hard work of the team and their dedication to delivering the highest quality standards, as well as great recognition of the way that we work in collaboration with our customers to ensure they get a solution that suits their needs. We are very excited to continue working with SPT.”
Michael Ferrie, Customer Services & Security Manager, SPT, comments: “The Churchill team has proven itself to be reliable and forward thinking over its tenure working with SPT. We are excited to be extending the contract and to continue working with them to provide a safe and welcoming environment for all of our customers.”
